Artist Statement

"My art is rooted in the exploration of a dreamlike world where reality and fantasy blend. Through my characters, the "Adansefuor," i narrate unseen spiritual world.

Using vibrant colors and color psychology, i love to evoke emotions and encourage self- reflection. My art is a testament to African heritage, reviving ancient traditions for tomorrow's storytellers.”

Biography

Nana Danso is a Ghanaian artist born in Tamale and currently based in Accra. A self- taught visionary, Danso's art is a captivating exploration of non-binary characters depicted in a faux naıve style, symbolizing the spirits and unseen forces that shape our world.

Inspired by his Ghanaian heritage and fueled by a desire to challenge conventional notions of identity, his work delves deep into the realm of imagination, inviting viewers to question their perceptions and embrace the rich tapestry of African storytelling.
